Cowboys and gettin' cowgirls wet at On Tap....

Cowboy up - y'all!
Was it Waylon Jennings (or Waylon Speed) who sang "Mama's, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys" ?? I'm not sure, but probably some merit to the thought after the big "Cowboy Up" shindig at On Tap Friday night. It was quite a party with a mix of Urban Cowboys, Blazing Saddles cast-offs and Hee Haw rejects sprinkled in amongst the regulars who had to have been wondering if this was being filmed for a Jayson Argento version of "Punk'd."  The "Cowboy Up" theme did have the desired effect though; a great, loose atmosphere and beyond packed house showing up to shake their money-makers and belly up to the bar for some red-eye. It was all good.

I don't know about ya'all, but it was pretty funny seeing us in cowboy costumes. I'm not sure it was a natural look for us, though Jayson did look like a photo-negative of the Sheriff in Blazing Saddles, who was pretty cool.

Connie & Dean: hot...
and later, wet.
It was certainly hot like Phoenix in July inside On Tap... it resulted in some water being thrown around by Tom, really as a public service to keep people cool. One appreciative lady went so far as to say, "thanks for getting me wet!" Happy to oblige.....

Anybody ever notice that when Jeremy "JD" Dewyea walks into the room, it explodes like rocket fuel on a fire? He should charge a fee to show up at parties to make them ROCK...

From the "Shit! We forgot!" Department - Sunday was Joe's birthday, which we completely spaced out on. Thankfully a hundred or so folks wished him a happy born-on-date on Facebook Sunday. Happy B'Day Joe - remember, you never have to grow up...

Stephane and Tom: soldering 101
From the same Department.... we run a pretty loose ship here at P'Dome International, which occasionally bites us in the backside. Like Friday night. When we forgot to repair the blown tweeters in Jay and Ed's monitors. It made for an interesting few minutes just before show time.

Speaking of Joe, he, Tony and Chubbs are headed out west to cruise on their bikes all over Utah, Colorado and Nevada. Don't forget to download a directory of bail bondsmen...

Debbie & Jon
We're taking about a month off for a bit of a recharge. All of us have different things going on, but we get back to it September 21 at Venue in Colchester. Did we mention we're playing our New Year's Eve show at Venue too? Yup - details coming later, but look out, Venue always does things up in a big way.

Actually, the rest of schedule is filled with killer shows... some of the highlights include....

Halloween weekend - for the second year running we are playing 2 huge shows: Friday, October 26 at On Tap and Saturday, October 27, the LARGEST costume party in the state at the Rusty Nail.... trust us, don't miss these....

Sheriff Ed Fletcher
Saturday, November 3rd - our debut at Olive Ridley's in Plattsburgh...

the second annual Metronome Massacre, November 21, Thanksgiving Eve - last year was a sell out with tons of guests and surprises....
